hi fellow reefers,

So I was looking for this bristle worm in my tank with a flashlight so I can remove it and I saw my lepasatera coral looking bleached on one side so I took a look for further inspection and it seems like there are chunks taken out of the coral like bite mark and on the top of the coral right in the middle there is a tiny hole and I can see something like a worm or something living in it. Please help me I.d this it's currently getting dipped I'm not sure what pest eat lepasatera?

Have you ruled out swings in alkalinity?
Is there a near by coral stinging it?
I see what looks like either a barnacle, vermited, or feather duster but that may not be problematic.

It could of been stung by my torch coral or hammer coral but it doesn't seem like it's been stung because it doesn't seem to have any fleshy die off just looks like something took a bite out of the coral and Skelton . Also my alk is very stable I check multiple time a week with Hannah checker it is a little low like 7 and get down to 6.6 at night I have been dosing it more but doesn't seem to move. All my others corals are healthy and growing .

Bump! Anyone chime in any info regarding what Pest are known to eat lepasatera ?
