Please help. White Floss on rocks

Hi all.
I have a small rock with pulsing xenia on it.
On the back side of the rock is some white floss looking stuff. Should I get that out of my tank asap?

If you can take the Xenia off of the rock do that then remove the rock immediately!! It’s a type of invasive sponge that loves to take over a tank if not already there!
