Hi all,
My powder brown tang is displaying some unusual lesions throughout his body which I thought was at first Ich. However, the lesions look nothing like ich where they look like well demarcated white dots throughout the body. Instead, I see stringy/fuzzy white lesions throughout the whole body (fins, mouth, body) and I also see him scratch. I currently have him in a copper QT tank, but if this is not ich, I may have to change the choice of treatment. Because of the fuzzy looking spots, I think it could be some sort of bacterial/fungal infection that I am unaware of. I have also considered lymphocystitis but I don't really see many "cauliflower-like" lesions around the fins. I would really appreciate any help with diagnosis and treatment. I have included two pictures of the powder brown (not the best pictures but the best I could get after spending 15+ mins trying). The pictures may help show the lesion distribution, but in person, the lesions look much more stringy/fuzzy and a lot more than seen in the picture.
