A couple fish in my DT have developed some discolored whitish spots on their bodies. The spots are not raised, some are larger than an eight inch in diameter and the animals are not exhibiting any other symptoms. I am having trouble positively identifying. Could I please get your opinions on what this is and how to address? Thanks in advance.

How long have they been in DT? Any new additions? Did you QT them?

Hard to tell, any fast breathing? How long does each spot stay in place?

How long ago did you add CUC?

Added them on Jan 10th. The animals are eating well as usual, I have not seen any breathing issues or scratching.

Well, heck. That's about the right time frame for parasites to get going in your tank. First thing I'd do is the freshwater dip to eliminate or confirm flukes.

So I obviously need to get a qt going. Should all fish be fw dipped or only those showing signs? What would the suggested treatment plan look like? These are the aquarium inhabitants..
Emperor Angel 9 - 10”
Naso Tang 7 - 8”
Foxface 5 - 6”
Sailfin Tang 5 - 6”
Purple Tang 3 - 4”
(2) P. Cardinals 2”
Flame Hawk 2”
Firefish 2”
Fairy Wrasse 1”
(2) Clownfish 1”

I appreciate the recommendations!

I’d just dip the tang and see if anything comes off. Use dark bucket. If you don’t see obvious “sesame seeds” then I’d quarantine and treat everyone, yes.
