Hi reefers,
So I'm setting up a replacement tank for my nano that crashed because of hurricane Mathew!
I'm doing a 9.3 gallon UNS Rimless with an eshopps cube nano. I ordered the glass holes super-Nano-Con-Dientes-In-aNd-Out-Complete-System. I have a head height of 4 feet from sump floor to return in tank with a 90 bend that creates another foot of HEad height from what I read. I will be adding another pump inside the DT which I am thinking hydor koralia nano.

I would like to know if the syncra 1.5 will do the trick of turning over the tank around 8-10 times? I attached there gph chart but wanted some extra minds and thoughts as I read on a marine depot.com review/post that said it will not pump at 5 feet. The 1.5 has 1/2 inch adapter and 2.0 has 3/4 inch adapter. Return is 1/2 inch vinyl tubing that comes with the kit.

Thank you all for the help.

Ok try to get one thing straight here............ we talking a 9.3 or 93 gallon tank

2x to 4x your display is all you need to be shooting for unless you're using that return for flow.....the Syncra 0.5 would do return duty without a problem.

If you're using it for flow too, I'm curious what the other options for flow were that you decided against?

Diesel it's a 9.3 nano.
Mcarroll I just generally shoot for that turnover rate in my nano however I'm open to suggestions. But yes I did want it for some flow as well as adding another circulation pump in the DT to have some alternating flow in there.
What would you recommend, softies and lps with the option to have some sps down the road perhaps
Diesel here is the tank man.

I imagine a Turbelle® nanostream® 6020 ($43) would about do it. Maybe a pair of them, or a Turbelle® nanostream® 6040 ($140) if you want to be fancy.

These are the tranverse pumps...

The 6040 is the controllable one, and is much stronger....I think about double.

They are about half or three-quarters the size of that pic on my monitor. ;) They aren't quite identical in size, but both are about 2.6" square.

(BTW, considering LED illumination?)

I meant to say the Syncra 1.5, BTW....was trying to agree on the pump (darn fingers!) since it's the only one with the ability to pump that high. :)

Mcarroll I am just going to transfer over the AI nano to this tank.
And the bulb underneath for refugium light.
