Please help with these sponges!

I been having a problem with sponges for a while. Long white stringy sponges. I have to brush them off everyday, i tried to take the rock out so they get oxygen but they just wont die. I attached a pic

put the rock in ur sump. That's good filter feeding animals.

They're just part of a normal ecosystem.
