Hello everyone. My name is Jacob and I am trying to find a way to upgrade my tank. I am a college student and my wife enjoys the tank but does not want me to spend much on it and so I feel obligated to try and do that to the best of my ability. The reason I am trying to upgrade is that I found a free 55 gal almost 4 years ago and I have been trying to improve it piece by piece since then. All I have to show for it now is a side of the road desk found and am now using for a stand, a fluval 406 canister filter given to me by a friend who didn't have all the pieces anymore to make it work (I made pieces to fit to make it work finally), a plain black canopy a friend built, and 4 T5 HO lights put together from three different light fixtures. I am pretty handy as you can see but what I can't make myself is a larger tank and I am not good with wood (yes I'm man enough to admit it). I live on a second story apartment complex and the water changes have just gotten to tough to bring up the stairs and lift over the edge of the tank. I'm pretty sure a lager tank with a sump would make it easier to maintain my reef.

I'm looking for anything bigger. I would prefer something with a stand and canopy but I know that beggars can't be choosers. I have been selling frag pieces lately and so with that little bit of extra money I am frantically trying to find a tank to spend it on before something else comes up that I have to end up spending it on that. So please anyone who reads this I want you to know that I am not trying to scam anyone. I will pay any fair price but am asking first if there are any people out there who wouldn't mind letting me be their charity case this Christmas.

Thanks for reading,
Jacob.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I unfortunately cannot help you with the tank. The bit of advice I wanted to give you is to get a cheap powerhead that can act as a pump, attach tubing, I suggest about 4-6 feet and you use that to get the water from the buckets/bins/what have you into the tank (put pump in water bin, end of hose into the tank, turn on PH, and bam water goes into the tank). No lifting the bucket that high required. Now getting it up the stairs, I can't help you there.
Not sure if you are keeping an eye on craigslist, but I suggest you do. It can be hit or miss, but, its something. Good luck!!

I am feeling quite jolly and generous this Christmas. I have e-mailed you. What type of frags do you have on hand?
