Please help

Hey guys i got these clowns from lfs and one had what looked like popeye in one eye but jumped out of net when lady at lfs was bagging him up so i thought it was ok. Now the other has a cloudy right eye as well and im not sure what to do, is this brook, ich, or just popeye infection. How should i treat as im not sure if im paranoid or not. They are only fish in the tank and are eating fine and swimming a fair amount tho the one seems to be a bit more lazy or lethargic

Doesn’t look like brook. Could be popeye or flukes. Do you see any small clear-white spots near the gills or on the fins?

I just see the singular clouded eye on each and in this pic you can see a bit of the white i see on fins

That kinda looks like flukes to me. I think you’ll want to treat with praziquantel (prazi-pro). If they are the only tank inhabitants you could just treat the whole tank pretty safely. Probably also need to make up some medicated food to get it into their system.

I’m no expert though. I would get a second opinion, maybe try the fish medic/disease sub-forum on here.

As mentioned in the other thread, you should add aeration to this tank to break up the surface tension to allow for proper gas exchange.

If you can post a short video, I can sometimes see more than in a still photo.

I have seen no scratching

Best way I’ve found is to upload to youtube and then link it with this button. People on computers can apparently view videos directly uploaded, but I’m almost always on my phone.

The clowns are still breathing a bit fast/deep. Do you have a protein skimmer on the tank? If not, you need to add an airstone to break the surface tension. That will assist with proper gas exchange and will give a fish some help if the rapid breathing is from some other cause.

I could also get a glimpse of some larger white spots on one of the clowns, too large to be ich, but I couldn’t see clearly enough to hazard a guess as to what that might be.

Should i add airstone or powerhead?

If the powerhead has an air injection snorkel, that will work, otherwise an air stone is best.
