Help! I just received the bubble tip from saltwater fish.com today and he looks awful to me but I'm new to this. Can anybody help? What is hanging out of his mouth? It looks like guts to me! He arrived like this. And the little bit of water he arrived in smelled pretty bad!

should I remove him from my tank asap?

That looks terrible. Take pictures and call the vendor. They should have a guarantee and may need the pictures for proof. Slight possibility that he perks up, but that doesn't look good at all.

[HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG] can probably help more as I'm not a Nem expert

Remove him, unfortunantly the nem met its demise, i would contact sf.com for a refund

Anemones are very delicate animals and get infections really easy. You are best to remove the dead animal and see about reimbursement.

Sorry for your anemone...Hope you get a good replacement. Keep checking your tank parameter for ammonia as it may have spiked because of it. Or to be on safe side you can do a small water change or run carbon as to get rid of any unwanted thing.

I would take it out and set it up in a separate tank. It is more then likely toast but I have saved them in this state twice. The tank should have good waterflow to blow away any decaying tissue and stop it from settling back on the nem. It is not very likely to work but it can so it is worth trying in my opinion. Make sure you cover any intakes or power heads you use as it could end up getting sucked into the intake. Take water from your main tank so you have aged water. I myself don't like giving up without trying something. Until all the tissue is gone it is not dead.

Sometimes the indicator of the water smelling bad is a good sign that what ever was in it is dead. Happened when I got my blue tuxedo urchin. This might not always be the case but, its a pretty good sign.

No matter what, it's an indicator that the animal shipped poorly and is in bad condition. For sure!

Like others have said, the nem is a goner. Keep checking parameters. Carbon and water changes for sure.

Sorry but he wont survive that. Kinda ironic. My first nem purchase was from them and they sent me one that was doa. It had already disintegrated when I opened the box. Anyhow id call them and ask for a refund. I sent them a pic and they refunded my money.

Definitely ain't gonna make it. Sorry... :( it's no way it going to survive, do a water change in your DT, so no major issues in your tank could happen. ;)Also contact your seller and show them pics of the men to see if you get a refund or a replacement. :)Good lock
