I doubt your algae created it. To me it looks like you have bacteria growing on it. Do you carbon dose or run candles/air freshener near the tank? Seems to a common cause.
Maybe an expert can weight in. #reefsquad

This is my 10 gallon cold water in the garage and its isolated in a corner i will look around but they arw wild macros

Do you store gas containers in the garage that could be venting?

That looks like calcium deposits (precipitation? heck I dont know the right word) that broke out of the return lines to shoot into the tank.

I'm pretty sure you'll want to check your Ca, Alk and Mg. Make sure they are in balance. It's an excess of calcium in the water that the corals arn't able to take in - or it's too much for the water to actually hold. Somebody better in chemistry will need to chime in on the science for you.

Wouldn't calcium precipitation be more of a hard substance? Maybe I'm not looking at the picture correctly, but it looks more like a slime consistency.

That's exactly what mine looked like. We can certainly call in an expert for an official ID. @Randy Holmes-Farley would you mind giving us your opinion
