Please help!

Can somebody tell me what's happening to my live rock? I don't know what this dark green stuff is but I've tried scraping it off the rocks an it doesn't come off.

How fast did it appear? There are lots of colors of coralline algae, it could be a green one, but I'm not an algae expert. How does it feel to the touch?

It feels just like the rock. It's almost like it was painted on there.

No this is not a new setup. This 75 gallon tank has been up an running for 2 years.

Looks like green corralline algae to me. I have the same stuff in my tank. Not the prettiest stuff out there but it doesn't really do any harm unless you let it build up on powerheads or any other display side tank equipment.

Yes since its hard very likely green coralline like I said in my first post. It's not bad, people just usually prefer the purple and red ones. If you hate it you can get a longspine or pencil urchin and it will chow down.

If it is green coraline algae then I'm ok with it even though it's not the most attractive color. Am I to guess this red is also coraline algae then?
