could you maybe put a red circle over what we're supposed to be looking at? I'm not sure whats wrong i nthis picture

Thats what i was thinking but they were all dead no medication or anything

My question is why did thousands of them die - and what does that mean for other things in the tank?

They are looking good i was able to siphone a lot not sure what happend :( hope my tank wont crash

Siphon as many as you can. Change the filter sock and run your siphon hose into the filter sock so you don't have to remove as much water.

Doing that now dont have many on the tank the whole buch were in the overflow. I think thats what saved me

Wow that's crazy,

Watch your amonnia and have some prime ready. I had a "planned" kill and my amonnia shot up. Granted I was using FW exit but those little things are toxic when they die.

Ha ! So i did 15 gal water change, carbon, siphone out all the stuff all looking good.

But there were not flat worms lol. My automatic feeder malfuncioned and drop all the food in the tank hahahaha.

I mean its good that i did all that because phospates and nitrates would have gone crazy...

Thank you for everybody's help

Note: never get a cheap auto feeder lol thats the moral of this story

Ita funny not in a good way !

I was just about to type that looks like detritus to me . Fish food would make perfect sense.. i would still watch the tank close and be ready with lots of mixed salt water in case you get a huge nutrient spike ..
