So I upgraded from a 55 to a 200 gallon aquarium. I’ve been doing work on it and I cut my holes in the sump tank(like 20 gallon) and the second hole cracked. I was putting the hole to connect to another 20 gallon sump. My question is should silicon 1 be fine to hold it together as the crack is only 1-1.5 inches below the hole that drains into the next sump? I can’t imagine much pressure? Thanks

SO you just cracked the 20 Gallon not the 200 Right?
If so, Simply go buy a new 20 gallon as Petco is still running their $per gallon sale. I wouldn't risk it and would do the fix now before water gets in it. Nothing worse then taking it all apart after its up and running.

Do not use after cracking the bulkhead will not seal with a crack anywhere near it.

I absolutely agree with Dierks that you should replace it, since from what I understand you’re connecting two 20 gallon tanks together. You might end up with 240 gallons of water on the floor one day.

I cracked the custom acrylic trickle filter. The bulkheads go to the 20 gallon tall, and the crack is just under the acrylic bulk head like a inch. It would be very hard to change so I was wondering if the silicone 1 should be fine?

You cracked the acrylic? If so, silicone will do nothing whatsoever to help fix it. You need to use Weldon 4 (water like consistency) or Weldon 16 (much thicker but not as pretty of a fix) to weld it back together if you plan on using it. They are solvents designed to join acrylic in a similar way that PVC "cement" is a solvent used to create permanent bonds.

If it's one of the glass tanks, replace it. Really, spend a little more and get a 40 breeder and don't even try to join the two smaller tanks.

Hey everyone, I previously put silicone on the crack(no water yet in tank) but I am going to peel it off and add acrylic sealer. What’s the best type? Does weld on 16 have to be it, or is there another brand? Will be going to Lowe’s/homedepot tomorrow as Walmart had none- thanks

Weldon is the only true acrylic solvent that I know of although there are almost certainly other brands. I prefer #4 due to it's water-like consistency, giving it the ability to wick itself into the cracks. #16 will work also but the fix won't look as nice
