Hey will the Fritz Turbo start work with my tank which is maybe 2 or 3 weeks old and it has 1 hermit crab and 2 baby clownfish in it. The problem is any time i add any other Invert they die almost instantly and it really sucks. I measured my ammonia and it is at .5ppm and im assuming thats why because my temp is 80, ph is 8.2, nitrate is 0, and nitrates is 5ppm.

It is a bare bottom tank and ive been adding seachem stability for 5 days now but i heard fritz is the way to go. It says to make sure the chlorine is removed etc and i have some prime so should i add a capful of prime to make sure all chlorine is gone?

Thanks.

fritz is great for quicker cycling, also, many inverts don't do well in brand new tanks, particularly bare bottom. just no detritus or anything for them to thrive on.

Should i convert to sand in my tank? I dont technically need snails. I just want something that will eat the algae. Any recommendations?

recommendation 1, keep parameters in line, no algae will occur if things are in balance,
2, if you add sand, a nassarius or two should keep your sand clean and turned.
