I can't really see what's going on here. Can you please take another pic without the blues? You need to scrape the glass. I do it once a week, the day before I do my water change. I scrape the back glass right after the water change because I want the coraline to stay in.

This the new pic

Kinda looks like chrysophyte to me.
They should be really easy to suction out.

do you have a sump with a filter sock?

do you know anyone with a microscope that you can get a pic under? That will help a lot because many different algaes/Dino’s/chrysophyte are treated very differently.

They go very easy with flow....but they After Born again.....i put filter sock......and begon to use Dino x byfauna marine....also sps not open polyp so much...and some sps became like lose color and begon very slow stn....i became Crazy really

first step with either chrysophyte or Dino is to get your nitrate to 10 phosphate to 0.01
You can make a cool tool like I did using small tubing and rigid tubing. I made this to suction of rocks directly into filter socks.

I would not use Dinox until you get a more certain ID.

Manual removal first. It may take every day for a while. Change your sock after siphoning every day.

Get your nutrients up so that other algae will outcompete what you have.

No aminos right now because if they are Dino’s it will get worse. I would not feed coral either right now.
If you have a protein skimmer, take it out for now.
You can feed your fish more and that will help.

I dose sodium nitrate and sodium phosphate to keep my levels up. I make my own solutions.
I think Neophos and neonitro should be available in Italy which will make it easier to start dosing if needed.

Do you have a UV sterilizer? After you siphon it out, there will be ots of free floating pieces of the chrysophytes: A UV will suck that up, or at least lots of it, and will kill it. UV basically help with all algae problems by doing the same thing. I recommend you buy one if you dont have one yet.
(Also I find it super cool you're from Rome, I went there once when I was like 4, so like 11 years ago, food is always excellent, people are friendly, churches and buildings are beautiful. St Peters is just amazing.) ANyways good luck with your problem, in reef tanks there will be lots of unexpected things. ;)

It will, but only bacteria in the water column.

The important bacteria for our tank is in the rocks and on the biofilm on the surfaces. (Not in the water column)

I would not worry about using UV. I used one for Dino’s and it worked.

if you use one, you want it to pull water directly from your display tank where the problem algae is.
