Please help!

I think I have dinos beat, but I'm not willing to jynx it. I gave green algae growing all over my glass and an explosion of pods all of a sudden. The dino creeps back slightly like tiny spots once a day, so I stir bubble scrub and get it going through the UV.

The question is. My glass looks awful, green everywhere. When is it safe to clean it? I don't want dino to take over again just for having a clean veiw. The tank is 5ft by 2ft

Removing the algae wouldn't effect the dinoflagellates coming back.

It's strange because since ive let it grow, pods have boomed and the dino have retreated

I let it grow on the back to give the pods their munchies. also had an issue with dino I am just about over. Sounds like we are almost in identical situations except I have kept the front and sides cleaned.

What did you do to battle? I bubble scrubbed 24/7 and ran UV. Brushing rocks etc.

bubble scrubbing and syphoning into a filter sock. no uv since mine didn't disperse into the water column at night. I also changed socks daily. the one time I missed a sock change it looked like a 3 day setback in the tank the next day.
