Someone please help me with Info on this coral. Idk what it is or how to take care of it. It was a gift and I’m a month new to saltwater aquarium. 75 gal tank temp 76f lighting is fuval led setting is not super high idk what the salinity is or alkalinity I don’t have a tester yet. I had my local aquarium store test my water they said it’s fine but that was a couple days ago I haven’t changed anything.

Welcome to the forum!
You should probably invest in a refractometer. They are fairly inexpensive. As your tank water evaporates, only the water will evap and not the salt. This will raise your salinity. It’s important not to let the salinity “swing” too much. With a refractometer, you’ll be able to know how much fresh (RO/DI) water to add to make up for evaporation.
Your local fish store can test your water as needed until you acquire other test kits but you don’t want to be having them test every time you need to top off your tank.

I think it is bleaching had water tested salinity was a little high, I did a water change salinity is now 1.022

Those look like they have receded quite a bit. Going to be an uphill battle with them. If using a refractometer make sure to calibrate it often. I do before every use with calibration liquid. Along with salinity, nitrate, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, ph, and alkalinity will need to be tested from time to time.

Did you buy a Hydrometer or Refractometer for salinity?

Yea I just did all that today, is it possible it was because of the salinity swing. I just got it Sat.

Hydrometer at home but had the store where it came from test my water. I haven’t got a refractometer yet it’s been ordered

I'm glad that you have the refractometer on the way. The Hydrometer is very inaccurate. i tested my water with both, the hydrometer read 1.020and the refractometer read 1.025

1.022 is a bit low especially for hard coral as they are very sensitive to water chemistry but hydrometers are also not very accurate at all so for now what is most important is that you don't make any quick changes and make sure to add pure top of water every day to keep the salinity stable.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you have but it is close enough for care instructions for temp, salinity, placement.....etc
