Hi guy, so I'm just getting into the hobby of a salt water aquarium. I p urchased a anemone ocellris. I aclamated for about 2 hours and put it in my tank on a live rock. It shrunk to a tiny little thing and the size of it was pretty big. It's been like that for about 6 o 7 hours and when I try to gently touch it it secreats a like, whitish/clear, mucus? I left the lights off the whole time and left it alone all those hour and hasn't moved or changed...does it look normal. IS it normal? Anyone? Please?

From what I’ve read they will deflate from time to time and the re inflate. If it persist more then a couple of days then you need to worry.

Stop touching it and let it get comfortable. Unless it detaches and starts floating around, let it be. In a couple of days you can see if it wants to grab a little food, but it's largely photosynthetic.
But does it look ok?

Yes. It looks like normal for being in a new environment.

What are your water parameters and how long has the tank been running?
The tank has been running 7 days with nothing but sand and salt water. My pH is 8.3 and water temp is around 76

How did you cycle it? What else is in the tank? Are you testing ammonia, nitrate, magnesium, phosphate, calcium?

Sounds way to new for anything to be straight with you. You might have a casualty, but I hope not and crossing my fingers it makes it.
It looks pretty good for being in such a fresh tank.

Not unusual at introduction.
Do place it lower in tank though. They are stressed by high lighting and water flow. Higher placement in tank will give it too much light

7 days just setting up and dropping clownfish and anemone is is too soon. .

do yourself a favour and pick up a few test kits .
ammonia being the main I’d focus on off the start .

next I’d worry if salinity was correct .
temp seams ok .
What lights do you have ? As anemones require a lot of light

as long as it’s attached as
Mentioned above I wouldn’t worry yet but if the tank wasn’t cycled . The ammonia produced by the fish will cause issues eventual .( unless the live rock instantly cycled the tank which it’s possible .

And be sure to add a decent refractometer to that kit list. Hypo/hypersalinity can be a certain killer for many sensitive inverts.
