So my fish whos been in my tank has always done super well just today started laying on the sand bed. I haven’t added anything new to my tank but a new cleaner sheimp yesterday today my fish is laying on the floor with his mouth open and white little linrs pocking out of it similar to the peppermint shrimps little antennas. Is there a chance he ate him and is chocking on him right now or is this some kind of parasite?

There used to be some photos floating around on the internet with cleaner shrimp or peppermint shrimp whiskers sticking out of a bangaii cardinals mouth.

They do sometimes go after much too large of shrimp.

That’s really sad especially because I fed him two times yesterday before even introducing the shrimp

Looks like the antennae of the shrimp or shrimp molt ???
It should digest or expel it. A freshwater dip may cause it to spit it out also but that would be a gamble if it does.
