My tank had or has ich so I moved all my fishes to a QT. About 3 week so ago. I thought it would be a great idea to start adding cope pods their so they can multiply without any fishes there. I add a bottle of rigger pods 2 weeks ago. Never saw them again. Now I see thousands of white organism on my glass tank. Not sure if they are trigger pods because they are not red. Is it ich that's multiplying? Here a couple of pictures.

Ich will not multiply without a host fish and I don't believe it clings to the glass. What you're seeing are pods. I'm not sure what kind but that's what they are. If you look closely you should be able to see their legs and watch them move.

Could be a type of amphipod. Once you get a fish in there numbers will drastically be reduced! I allways get them when I 1st see up, then they dissappear soon after introducing something that consumes pods.

It is not ich. It is very hard to tell from the picture, but if they're very small, white, and move in 'jerky' movements then they're most likely harpacticoid copepods.

Can't believe how fast they reproduce. How can I keep them in my tank without my fishes eating them all up?

I feed a mix of phytoplan and marine snow for the pods a d filter feeders (currently no corals). I believe this helps them. These guys are fish food, the key is keeping population numbers up to where they don't really notice the losses.
