It's the [insert LFS name][insert stupid descriptive] chalice! ;-)

Nice looking piece! Remember those names are invented for marketing to hopefully get an over-inflated sale price. No need for a name and there's no incorrect name to give your frag if you really want it to have one. :)

Name only matters if you are going to resell someday...It's a beautiful piece and will color up more in your tank.

I think $75 is a good price for it. It is a cool looking chalice! Nice pickup! I am pretty sure it is not named if you bought it from a LFS as something not already named. This means you can call it whatever you like.

That's just the name vivid gave it. We will see a bunch of new names for same coral here in next month or 2. Just a cool looking wild chalice I've seen in 3-4 different lfs's lately. I've asked the Lfs and they are all saying "dunno wild chalice".

That applies to all corals names are just what we call them so u know exactly what people are talking about. If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, taste like a duck its a duck. Dont rename it a chicken just because a different person sells it.

Agreed but not everything "has a name" per say. For example there are common names like sunset monti...I'm not gonna call mine wwc sunset or tyree sunset monti because it looks exactly the same. It's just a sunset monti from buddies tank. Maybe a bad example....I have 2 different bonsai acros. One I know 100% buddy got was garf bonsai that he fragged. The other on the other hand is just a badazz bonsai because I have no idea where other buddy got.

Now chalices are weird on the other hand...if it was not purchased from vivid then it doesn't get the vivid name. Just a cool *** wild pastel chalice. I almost bought the same exact piece at Lfs 2 weeks ago but went with another wild piece no name bright orange with baby blue streaks. Now I'm not gonna post and ask for a name and scour Internet for it because Lfs said hey man I dunno it's wild. Perhaps ill call it pappys bubble buster chalice. Then anyone who gets this duck will call it that. NEVER LOL

My bad I actually did buy this same chalice in lauderdale about a year ago. It will color up a lot more than in your pic.

I think its still ok to use the name just dont call it a vivid seasons greetings or garf bonsai juat call it a seasons greetings or bonsai. Also as far as the seasons greetings goes ive seen it on several websites including the piece i have of it from UC before the revamp. Also mrcoral has it listed as seasons greetings as well.

I had to come back and take another look at that coral from my main computer screen....wow again. Great piece!

BTW, approximately what color (20K?) was the photo taken? And do you know if it was previously growing high light?
