It fellCould you get underwater pictures?
1. Might be a micro brittle star. Harmless detritivore that multiplies over time.
2. Not sure since it is obscured.
Yes, First photo is after the dip. 2nd is right after i found it on the bottom side of the rock .I also think this is a brittle star in both photos… was the first picture after being dipped?
I did do like a 5 min dipAgreed kind of looks like brittle star. Did you say you dipped all of your live rock?

So if it was in fact a brittle star and it went into the dip, that would be my guess as to why it’s all curled in a ball. Bummer if it was a brittle star as most of them are good guys. This guy looks pretty green and while I’m no expert, I think there is a non-reef safe green brittle star… if it has a larger disc in the center, it was a brittle star.Yes, First photo is after the dip. 2nd is rolling the rock right after i found it.
This individual looks pretty brown, so I doubt it's a green brittle star (even if it was a juvenile), which also has thicker arms. I haven't heard of them hitchhiking either. This guy looks pretty green and while I’m no expert, I think there is a non-reef safe green brittle star…
it’s so coiled up I can’t get to the center. Bummer I found one pest and it wasn’t even probably a pest…So if it was in fact a brittle star and it went into the dip, that would be my guess as to why it’s all curled in a ball. I was just hoping to think of a way to not feel too bad about the brittle star. Man, those green guys are pretty though! There could be others who have survived! All may not have been lost.it’s so coiled up I can’t get to the center. Bummer I found one pest and it wasn’t even probably a pest…
