Are both pics the same fish?
Definitely both depict a piranha, and that second pic is no doubt a rhom (black piranha/serrasalmus rhombeus) in that second pic, but the shape and colors in the first pic remind me of a piraya piranha (Pygocentrus piraya), but that may be due to angling.
To tell a pacu from a piranha, look at the mouth. Piranhas have a strong underbite and visible jagged teeth, while pacus have a slight overbite and blunt teeth.
