That is the return from the pump in the sump attached to my uv. What is that stuff in the outlet???
going to guess some type of sponge or filter feeder, but better photo would help.
More importantly, this highlights why annual maintenance on everything is so important, preventing things from building up and clogging or at least reducing performance. Annually pumps can be run in a citrus acid bath/bucket for an hour. Those long dryer vent brushes or specialized plumbing snakes can help clean pipes.
