Have these things for sometime now. Thought they were some kind of worm. Whatever it is its not soft it's solid, hard and protruding. Any Ideas...

Vermatid snails maybe? Hard to tell off the pic, do they have a curly skeleton and produce a silk net?

yes they do. especially when I vacuum the sand bed.
