my wrasse has a slowly progressing growth on starboard side of body - please diagnose and rx . Was hoping for a target rx of some sort , or do i need to try to qt? No other fish seem to have anything. See pic

It doesn't appear to be anything too serious since it is exhibiting full coloration and looks overall pretty fat and happy. My wrasse sometimes gets these marks on him from going after pods in the rocks (if what you're referring to is the marks on it's face). I would think it's something like a slime coat sore or a scab of some sort in my case. Not sure if there is a "target" medication of any kind that you can dose the aquarium with that won't affect corals and inverts.

You may want to go ahead and put it in QT just to be able to keep a better eye on it and medicate if needed without affecting your display tank. Good luck catching it though, my Melanurus goes into full evasive maneuvers mode when a net enters the water and is super wary of any sort of trap. If you can't catch it, I would resort to feeding it vitamin enriched foods to help boost it's immune system.

Actually it's white fluffy dots three of them they have not moved but they have grown slightly on his midsection and near the tail and look like they come from under his scale

Ahh okay, it could be a number of things then, maybe even flukes, I wouldn't panic at this point but I would still get the fish into a QT and treat it with some copper based medication or even do a freshwater dip on it. Look into these methods though since they have to be done in specific ways.
