Please tell me this is not Ich

Hi everyone.
Terrible week for me, first algae bleaching and now this.

There is a white spot on my goby face.
Can be a scratch or its Ich?
My lfs guaranteed that it was "quarantined". Basically was in a tank with the pistol and never moved for 3 months.

I'm no expert but it doesnt look ich to me. I've never seen ich that was elongated like that pic.

I will try to take a closer Pic but it might take a while it's very shy still. I see him only when I am minimum 4-5 steps from the glass.

That isn't ich, or any other parasitic disease. Most likely just a scratch. That doesn't mean it can't get infected, but at this point, unless the fish shows other symptoms, there isn't any treatment needed.

Ohhh thanks. That's good news! I have not noticed much difference in the behavior cause he is mostly hiding since I introduced him in the tank. I will have a look in case it gets infected.

Ouch I think this was just a grain of sand, checked today and it's disappeared

They do sift sand and get it on their face often. Mine often has a piece of sand on his face. Took a while before I got used to it and didn’t panic every time thinking it’s sick.
