Evening all,
My wife and I are just getting started with our first aquarium. We ended up purchasing a slightly used Red Sea Reefer 350 V3. The tank is near mint and we are greatly excited to get started. We had the opportunity to purchase live (wet rock) from the person selling so we have set up a smaller tank to keep the live rock cycling. We have been filling the Reefer up with RODI water today and our game plan is to add the heat and salt to the water tomorrow
. I have leak tested everything and the pump is now circulating (yay). A few snags like learning the barb on the return line was a 5/8th but the return pump was a 3/4 etc, but a fun learning experience.
Our equipment list is:
-Aquamax DCF 180 skimmer
-Aquamax Sigma 2 sump media reactor
-Hydros X4 and XP8 power bar. Ph probe, leak sensor, skimmer overflow sensor, ATO sensor
-Nero 5 Wavemaker *2
-Ecotech XRG15 Pro *3
- Jebao DCP 8500 Sine Tech Silent Pump (I'm questioning this pump order now)
-Clear Water Algae Scrubber CW-100 (it was a steller deal)
Please feel free to offer any tips, especially with any of the equipment listed.
