Have had this coral in my tank for around 4 months and it has been doing very well and even grown a few new polyps. Then one day about a week ago i noticed a small bit of skeleton showing through the tissue in between two polyps in the center of the coral. Since then the dead spot has spread outward completely killing 2 polyps. could someone please help me identify what is happening and or how to fix it.

The coral gets regular feeding every 3 days and is receiving about 75 PAR.
before an dafter pics included

I haven't had any coral like this give me trouble yet. But I would consider dipping in chemi clean to see if its an infection.

Dip them first - these guys require good amount of food - feed them roids, plankton and some shrimps for daily initially and then few times weekly and slowly bringing then twice weekly cadence and 6 months from now happy - You can also try some acrylic covers if fish are a hastle for them during eating. in this state broadcast feeding is not something i will rely on until it has fully recovered.

This is tissue recession and due to stress caused bt several factors:
Light too bright ( which seems may be- Moderate light and water flow is best)
Too much water flow
Elevated Phosphate and even nitrate (Nitrate <15 and Phos .04-.08)
elevated salinity
Lack of feeding
Ph Very low
irritation by sponge growth which lifts tissue literally off the skeleton
Low level toxins from Dino or cyano
