I would like to use some of the soft malleable plumbers putty in my tank. I know I could use epoxy but this is for a bulkhead screen that attaches to the front of a bulkhead. In my testing with the soft stuff it easily forms to the screen and stays water tight. It also allows for easy removal to clean the screen from time to time.
Would there be any side effects? Its used for potable water applications in the home all the time.
