Plumbing a Frag tank into existing sump?

I am wanting to add a 20" x 20" x 10" frag tank with external overflow to my Redsea Reefer 250 V3 sump.
Options are

#1 Can I just have the overflow come straight to the sump and use another small return pump for the frag tank ?
#2 Overflow straight to Sump and return coming straight from my Reef Oct Alga reactor
#3 Return coming off my main return pump ? This would require me to Upsize the return pump as I only have a Varios 2

I recently did option 1 and it works perfectly. No reason to make it complicated.

I have a pump for my carbon reactor, I split it and have it going to my frag tank and the return by gravity to my filter sock in the sump. I didnt have room in my sump for another pump.

You could do it any of those three ways.
