Before I glue it all in place, anyone have suggestions or concerns about my set up? Looking at it from left to right, it's main drain (1.5" down to a 1"), back up and then emergency drain. It's my first time plumbing a sump, so just want to make sure I get it right.

I would submerge the main drain. I leave my emergency not submerged so I can hear splashing. The splashing alerts me that water is coming down a drain that it shouldn't be. Under normal circumstances it's silent.

Also once primed the pipe will fit one inch into each fitting (ifirc for one inch and 3/4). In my experience dry fitting doesn't exactly match a primed and glued joint. Once you're set on the dry fit make sure your measurements are right, loosing one inch of pipe into each fitting.

The main drain will be submerged a tiny bit once the water fills up to the correct level.

Bump, any more thoughts?

+1 with Fritzhamer...just by beginners luck I measured my pipe a little longer so most of my pipes fit in just right. You will see that dry fittings will seem to be off, but once you prime and cement, they seat into the fittings much further. Almost done with mine......whew....

YEa, got it all glued and they really did go further into the fittings after the cement was on there. The main drain and back up are submerged but the emergency is not.
