Plumbing fittings question

Does anyone know how to go from this pump https://www.marinedepot.com/Cobalt_...rheads-Cobalt_Aquatics-3C00544-FIPHAD-vi.html

1/2” male tubing end to 1/4” RO fitting? I’m Using this pump for ATO and the 1/2” tubing is too bulky.

Like the john guest push in fittings? They make barb adapters to go from 1/2" to 1/4" like this one:

But those push fittings are 1/4" OD IIRC, and the adapter is 1/4" ID.

Thanks, so I guess if I went that direction I would need to get standard 1/4” tubing rather than the 1/4” RO tubing?

Yep. If you don’t need to use a push fitting then there’s no reason to get complicated.

I stuck the RO tubing inside the barb fitting of an 80gph pump for an ATO. Fit well enough inside the male end of whatever size (i think maybe 3/8"?) hose barb fitting it came with. If that helps lol
