Getting ready to set up my new tank and I am looking for a guide or tips to install the Synergy Reef Shadow Overflow. I have never installed a drilled overflow before so I could use all the tips/help I can get!

Following. I have ordered a tank with one installed, but will need to do the plumbing. I'm planning on Bean Animal.

Bean Animal. If looking inside the external box of the shadow overflow, there are three drain holes. Use one as main (lowest), one as open channel (drilled an air hole, middle height) and one straight (highest) for emergency.

Mine is synergy ghost overflow. Top to bottom is main, emergency and open channel (with drilled hole).

Awesome! what size bit did you use to drill your tank? BRS said to use a 65mm but the install guide said to use a 63mm bit so I am a little confused

I have 2 of these overflows and love them! You can use a 2.5 inch glass drill bit. That's in between 63 and 65 and is fairly easy to find locally if need be. That cuts perfect size hole.
