Plumbing Help for 180g RR tank

Hi everyone I am new here, so please be easy on me ;)

I have a new 180g RR tank along with sump. This tank going right next to my bedroom so I need it someone silent. I plan to go with herbie style drain.

Let me tell you a bit about the setup
Each overflow has 2 1" holes
The sump has 3 holes for the drains, 2 are 1" and the other one is 1.5"

So I am a bit limited on how I can do my plumbing, what are your thoughts? For the primary drains, do I up-size them to 1.5" and T them into the 1.5" in the sump or do I go with 1" for each and use the 2 single holes in the sump and T the backup drains in to the sump with a WYE that is 1.5" and 1"?

Keeping the flow low is the best way to keep noise low, so I'd consider a more standard setup with a normally-sized return pump.

Assuming your tank is about 6' high with a simple return that's split to both ends of the tank....

According to their flow curve, with your tank at 6' tall, a Sicce Syncra 4.0 would give you about 700 GPH flow though 1" return plumbing (about 15' of pipe, total, I'm guessing).

But (at that flow and pipe size) the plumbing adds another 3' of head pressure which drops the real flow rate down to about 370 GPH:

That's about right for a nice, quiet flow and it'll still keep your sump well-fed.

If you wanted to bump it up a little bit without getting noisy, a Mag 9.5 should make a good step up.

If you use the bulkheads in your sump, use the 1" for drains.

Use the 1.25" for the return if you're feeling obligated, but you'll have to adapt down to 1" at the tank. So maybe just go 1" from the pump all the way, skip the bulkhead, and save the bother and cost of extra fittings to adapt the pump up to 1.25" only to have to adapt back down to 1" for the tank.
 
Thanks for the information. So your saying just use the overflow kits that came with the tank? The pump that came with the tank is a Waveline DC 12000, that I was going to connect to my apex.

The drains will be silent once you go full siphon and put the output an inch below the surface of the water. If you don't pump back enough water to get your main drain(s) going full siphon then you'll hear slurping sounds.

I don't think it matters which or how many drains you run as long as you can pump enough water to keep them going. So if you do the two 1in at full siphon (make sure you're putting Gate valves on those to tune the flow) then you should be good.

I'm assuming you also have separate return lines? Or is one of the holes in each overflow for the return? In that case - you would run one full siphon, then the other (in the other overflow) as your emergency. Your emergency has NO valve and should be as straight a shot as possible to your sump. It doesn't need to go through as so or anything..just straight to the sump and have it terminate a bit above the water surface so you'll hear when it's moving water (which means you're out of whack).
