So basically I plumbed my tank I used a durso stand pipe and have done that part right everything is perfect except that the air from the stem is going in to my sump making it bubble like crazy and it’s entering my refugeum (can’t spell) and from there being sucked up through my return pump and thus having a ton of micro bubbles everywhere is there anything I can do to stop this

Duriso: is known for making noise due to air being sucked in. There are solutions.

I use a "T" fitting on the end of the pipe so that the leg is just above the water surface in the sump. This allows the air to escape before the water enters the sump. I find it to be quieter, and it will greatly reduce the bubbles and salt creep.

I followed those steps and it’s not the noise it’s the bubbles in the sump being pumped back to my display tank that I need help with

Does your sump have a bubble trap?
Can you put a piece of aqua mesh in there?

Air + Water = Noise
Air + Water = Bubbles
Noise = Bubbles

Yea it’s got a bubble trap it’s still making it past it and there’s a sponge in it to idk

I get micro bubbles in my big tank every now and then. Nothing changes just bubbles on day. Then gone the next. I don't worry about it anymore. I have floss and a sponge in my sump I turn 5500gph. So I am tagging along to see if someone has an idea. I am going to try the tee idea in my sump. Never thought of that!

Do you really have 5500gph going through the sump? Unless it's a really big tank that seems like a lot to me. With an eheim 1262 I'm getting maybe 600gph after head loss for my 120DT, so maybe 5x turnover. The rest is done with powerheads in tank.

How large are the bubbles if they are making it through the bubble trap? Is it an over, under, over setup?

I went with a bean animal drain to avoid some of your woes. I hear my LED fans over the sound of the drain and my return pump. It's virtually silent once dialed in.
