Hi,

I am in the process of plumbing my new 150 Gallon Mixed Reef tank. Attached is the diagram of what I think makes sense but I need opinions from the group. Plan to run 2 return pumps. One pump will run through the manifold and back to the DT. The other pump would run through UV and back to DT. I am up for other suggestions (i.e. more unions, less unions, different design). Thanks in advance.

Why not run one pump and just direct one of the lines through the UV? Running pumps can get $$$ and add heat to the system.
Also, IME, check valves are not very reliable (unless something has changed). Debris, buildup, snails, etc. can get in there and prevent them from closing. Perhaps a siphon break instead?

Congrats on the new tank!
