I have an Elos 40gallon system. The overflow drain is a 1.25cm corrugated drain pipe. I want to change the sump and need to connect to a standard 1" sump drain. I believe that there is a 1.25" barbed fitting on the bottom of the overflow box which connects to the corrugated tubing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Here is a picture of the current drain hose

The silicone tubing is the return pump. The gray is the overflow. Want to change that connect to a new larger trigger systems sump.

I assume you are using a single Durso drain? Can you simply remove the 1" fitting on the sump and insert the grey drain pipe? Will it fit?

Yes I am using a single drain. I haven't unpacked the sump. Does anyone know if the stock return pipe can be removed with out drilling?

It would be better to connect directly to reduce noise.

I have a 34" Emerald sump. The PVC fittings for the drains are removable.

I think he was asking if the fitting on the tank can be removed and the answer is YES. On my Elos 70, they are removable so you would need to get an adapter 1"-1.25" and you should be good to go.
