Plumbing help!

so a little while ago i got the cadlights artisan ii and just went with all the stock plumbing and tubing. Id like to get rid of the cheap dc return that came with it. It just scares me not knowing when its going to crap out on me and i want something i know i can rely on. Id like to get a vectra s1 but im terrible with plumbing and not sure how to plumb it. Id like to just go from the green tubing halfway down and convert to pvc into the s1. What would i need to do this. I believe its 1” tubing.

Would a piece with a 1” barb fitting and 3/4” slip work?
