Not my first tank, but my first thats drilled and first with a sump.
So the water will drain out the white one, and the return pump goes into the blue one, right?

Do I use PVC or tubing?

How do I attach the PVC to each other? i need a gate valve, too? Correct?

I'm feeling lost lol

Another approach is to use the two existing holes for a herbie style drain and then run the return up and over the top edge. Both tubing or PVC can be used for the plumbing.

I planned on doing the herbie , but the blue one is for where water goes out, right?

It looks like with the previous setup that the blue was the return line and the white was the drain. In a herbie setup there are two drain lines so both the white and blue would potentially be return lines.
