Plumbing in wall - how to make it safe?

I'm running 1/2" PVC from the basement so I can pump fresh RO and Salt through the house. I'm putting the line through my slab, and coming up into the wall.

My question is how do I make it waterproof / safe in the wall for the outlet? What kind of valve can I install that stays in the wall and is accessible?

Ideally I'd like to have some sort of small access panel in the wall I can remove to get access to the plumbing. But also want a way to make sure I'm not dumping water into the wall itself..
 
Pipes with water CAN leak, lets face it.
But you can mitigate your risk and running PVC through walls, attics, etc is common.

If you are running PVC with no connections (junctions, unions, fittings, etc) then it should be waterproof.
If having to use connections....I would recommend slip fittings that are cemented in place....instead of threaded fittings.
I would highly recommend using unions where possible and frequently so that you may remove sections at a time easily and modify as needed.

As far as a valve (presumably to control or turn of flow), I am not sure I understand why you would want the valve IN the wall as that would seem to be unaccessible. but perhaps I am not understanding.

A ball valve is easy enough for simple on/off functions...and a gate valve for more flow control. a union on either side of a valve is best practice and will save you a massive headache later if (when) you decide to modify things.

Yeah I get all the basics. Planning on slip fittings everywhere. The valve needs to be in the wall so it can't be seen, but I'm needing some sort of access panel to get to the valve / plumbing. I guess it's somewhat hard to explain..

I need it to be coverable/hideable when not in use, but I need to decide on the connection style so I can connect a hose and pump the water out.

Was thinking of line > Union > ball valve > barb fitting.
Just not sure if there's a better solution
 
Given that it sounds like you need a flexible hose option, what you have Planned sounds as good as anything else.
that said, could you tolerate a large guage push lock fitting (like the rodi fittings but larger than 1/4”)? There are threaded adapters that allow 3/8” tubing to be connected. When not using, you can disconnect the tubing and store It.

I used these in several applications and have been dry and consistent.
