so I'm hopping there is someone that can give me some advice here. My drain line sits about 2 inches lower then where it should connect to my sump. So to connect it I would have to add either two 90's or two 45's. Can that be done?

My tank is 2 feet above the sump, just the drain line ends below the sump line.

Of course anything can be modified or changed. My suggestion is to post some pictures of what you have so we can help you out . [emoji4]

Here is some rough pictures. You can see the line is slow the sump. Also raising the drain line is not a option.

Will 45's 100% work or make it weird, there will be about 1,500gph going through this line.

90s will cut more water flow than 45s. I'd also insert a knife in there somewhere.

I'm not sure I'm clear on the problem, but if you put in a union you could easily connect/disconnect the drain line to fit is in the sump.

So let me get this straight. The bottom picture..... you need to connect the pipe on the left to the pipe in the sump on the right?

What size pipe is that? I hope it is at least 1", but it looks smaller in the photo. And why is there a larger fitting at the end with a reducer bushing? Can't figure out what you have going on there. Nice sump, BTW. Bashsea Signature Series, right?

Here goes a picture, I just went ahead and unioned it off and Ima hope this works. There is 9 half inch drains all connected into a 1.5" line that runs down the whole tank. That line sits lower then the sump so I had to raise it up a few inches.

Yup, it's a bashsea sump, the five foot monster the build quality is amazing. Ordering it I was unhappy because it was the only choice. It is the only sump that had everything I wanted and could accommodate a 21" Bubble king skimmer. When fedex freight dropped it off and I saw it for the first time my jaw dropped at the craftman ship. I have three other high end sumps and in my opinion this tops them all.

I still dont understand why this drops down and then comes back up? It looks like you could have sloped it down from the first drain all the way down to the sump. Is something preventing this from happening?

Yes, something does provent it from meting higher. This is the only option I could see.
