I had a custom stand built for my 2 by 2 Cube so I have roughly 24 by 30 inches to work with. I'm contemplating redoing my plumbing so that I can hook up a couple reactors and run it all off my main pump. This will save space and reduce heat in my sump. When I factored in the hose adapters and gate valves I think there is just enough room to fit but it will be very difficult to work.
There is a wall I can go through and two different places to put the sump in the next room which would give me plenty of room for the plumbing. The distance to drain to the sump would be either 6 or 10 feet depending which one I chose. How pitched will the pipe need to be to not lose flow over 10 feet? Would increasing the diameter of the pipe help?
