Just wondering if the plumbing on the 130.4 is standard or metric? I thought I heard/read somewhere they are now standard, but cannot seem to locate that information again.

I'm pretty sure the old ones are metric (tank sizes + plumbing), while the new ones are standard. I know I read it a few places. If you don't find it on R2R, or their site, probably on FB.

Hmm. that's the only exchange I found on Facebook in the "closed" group. Found no info here on reef2reef. Still does not answer the question, as it contradicts itself :\

I can tell you that the older ones are for sure metric. I did give feedback that they should switch to standard, but not sure if they did with the newer tanks.

Okay, so I got an answer! Looks like they spread the bulkheads out so normal ones will now fit. I'll find out as soon as mine arrives. Not a fan of trying to track down metric pipe to make a manifold. Wish they would have made this an option for the stand platinum, but I guess that's something that separates it from the Pro version. Just don't have the floor space for a Pro.

Is it standard?

No idea, went with a RedSea 525...

Does anyone have a definite answer to this?

It is still metric. I did the conversion from below the bulkhead with a metric to standard fitting I got from brs. But to do this you also need a coupler in metric. It was a pain in the butt. The drilled holes in the tank are to small for 1 inch bulkhead so I did the metric conversion.

Could you share the part you used? I’m getting the 170.4 and wondering if it’ll be the same? What kind of sump did you use?
