Hey guys im not sure how I should plumb my overflow into these two filter socks and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions! I am moving my tank and am building a new stand and got a new sump. The tank is plumbed with soft tubing right now but I am not opposed to hard plumbing if it would be easier. Thanks in advance!

The sump is for a herbie or bean animal style drain. Is there only one overflow on that tank?

If you do not want the return pipe / tubing visible running over the top of the tank & you want to use both socks, then I would switch to hard plumbing & use a tee. There's also no harm in just using one of the socks & avoid the other.

However, if you don't mind having the return running over the top, then I would switch to herbie plumbing & use a dedicated pipe for each sock. If the back of your display is painted & you have a canopy, you would not know the difference. It's also quieter & provides for redundancy in the drains (pipes can clog). You have options.
