Hey y'all,

I just bought a new sump the Trigger Sapphire series 34, which gets delivered tomorrow. Well it has 2 drain lines into the sump, but my tank only has 1 drain pipe. Should I just plumb it to 1 of the pipes in the sump or get a part to turn the 1 drain line to 2 lines so they both go into the sump. Below is a picture of the sump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I did mine this way- not sure if it's the best way but no one told me it's the wrong way after confirming with several places and people. I figure, why not, use both socks.

His has a bubble chamber like mine that the water drops into then overflows into a sock chamber. So weather you have 1 or both plumbed it is forced through all the socks. Makes filter rotation a little easier as the last sock inline rarely get water through it so stays pretty clean. My setup works the same way but with a single drain, once a week I pull out sock 1 and 2 and move 3 to the 1 position and then add 2 new ones.

Thank you for the advice. Of course when it rains it pours, my return pump (eBay special) which is about 9 months old gave out this morning. Good thing I got my new Vectra M1 in yesterday and the new sump gets delivered today. Wanted to take the time and do it this weekend, but looks like it will have to be done this afternoon/tonight. I have my 2 mp40's running to try to keep the water oxygenated, hopefully it can last until I can get everything installed.
