Plumbing question

Hi guys i have a plumbing question. First of i have a cobalt cvue 40 tank everything is ok. The cvue is an aio tank with dual return. Now im planning to upgrade my tank and came across a sicce sdc 6.0 pump. But im going to upgrade next year so i want to try putting the sicce on my 40g tank and i want to have just one return pump.

im new with plumbing since all my tanks are aio. Unfortunately the inlets that came with sicce are bigger than what i need. I would like to know what should i get since im new to plumbing. i measured my return bulkhead which is 1/2” where a barb elbow is inserted. I have 2 return nozzle so where can i get a tee or y barb fitting and what size of tubing should i get?

I’m want to be sure I follow correctly. You have the sdc 6 which you want to plumb into the 40? The 40 has 2 returns? The bulkhead is 1/2”? Are you plumbing in a sump?

Sorry for the questions. Want to be sure I am following since I’m not familiar with a 40 that has 2 returns. The sdc has 1 or 1.5 inch barbs or 1” pvc adapter. Need to figure out the connections needed
