Plumbing Question

Hello everyone. I am about to replumb my sump and change my layout up for other equipment I’ve bought. Would it be a issue if I plumbed both drains into 1 like in the drawing. I am running the Bernie overflow and 1 drain is the main and the other is a emergency. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't do that personally because it partially defeats the purpose of the emergency drain. In the unlikley event that the pipe downstream of the T ever gets clogged then both the main and emergency would be clogged.

You do not want a valve on the emergency drain. The most likely place for the drain to plug is at the valve too.
