What is the best design for a corner overflow?..and do i glue all pvc connections?..including in the overflow?...also my tank came with an overflow kit..is the drilled hole on top of the drain pipe sufficient enough to prevent a flood in case of a power outtage??

Don't glue the standpipe to the bulkhead inside the overflow. And if the tank came with the overflow plumbing you mention, I would use it.

No, the internal overflow is your failsafe.. Just be sure your sump has the room for all the water in your overflow after you pull the standpipe..that is how you test it..
