Hi all,

I recently decided to go with an 85g Planet Aquariums Crystalline aquarium, that will arrive on Friday.

I noticed that it comes comes with a single overflow box, but has two durso overflow drains. Seeing as I just spent a few hundred dollars on a brand new Eshopps RS100 sump (for another build-gone-wrong, so I'm salvaging the sump for this build) that has a single intake line, I need to figure out how to plumb both overflow drains into the single drain. Is this possible? Could I potentially just plug one of the drains? Or should I create a T from the single sump intake that will take two lines from the overflows?

Here is a link to the sump that I purchased, and a link to the PA specs...

Any help is appreciated!

I would create a Y just under the overflows. If the sump bulkhead is the same size as the returns, then you still should be ok. I had (4) 1.5" overflows and combined each set into a 2" pipe. My sump was custom made so I had it built with 2" bulkheads. Its ok if you can't go one size up, the overflow drains are not maxed out anyway.
